Entertainment Design Faculty at Cogswell

Our faculty includes artists and designers from animators to sculptors. David Perry is a 2D animator and artist best known for his animation software invention "Monkeyjam". Dave teaches 2D animation, Perspective and Rendering, Storyboarding, and collaborates with our "Project X" animation team. Jeff Jackson is a noted illustrator and concept artist and collaborator on several illustrated books. He's the go-to guy for Drawing Animation, Storyboarding, and drawing of all kinds. Thomas Applegate is one of the top three instructors of practical sculpture on the west coast, and the other two are only available through occasional workshops: Thomas is here every day teaching Figure, Portrait, and Character Sculpture. He's also one of the finest watercolorists working and teaches painting techniques in our illustration courses. Reid Winfrey has been an exhibiting fine artist for nearly 30 years and has been teaching at the college level since 1985. He's the author of "Figure Drawing: A Practical Guide", and teaches Figure Drawing, Digital Painting, and Concept Design.
